The surgery was simpler than the one he had last time as that was is done to try and delay the onset of arthritis. And since he already has significant arthritis it's not worth the added risk of bone infection or hardware breakage. this means that instead of a month of only potty breaks (he actually had 2 months because of a complication related to the bone cutting) it is 6 weeks of slow short walks to allow the incision to heal and the scar issue to start to rebuild. They had to cut through the scar tissue to remove the bone fragment tat was held inside the joint onyx by that scar tissue, it had completely broken free of the ulna.
