Hey there!
I'm Neelanjana - or as I like to be called now, Boone's mom. Boone is our (me and hubby) first BullMastiff puppy. He's now about 2 months old (we don't know his exact date of birth) and the apple of everyone's eye I've grown up with dogs (I owe my life to two separate dogs, two different incidents!), but its my hubby's first time. For obvious reasons, along with training Boone, I've got to train hubby dearest to train Boone as well!! I'm hoping that with this forum, I'll be able to get info about this breed, considering there are so many theories out there, it's mind boggling!
To start with, Boone's currently eating Royal Canin Maxi Junior. Our vet asked us to NOT feed him Giant Junior as the climate in India, along with the Giant puppy's food will make him grow faster than he should. I know definitely that since he's a giant breed, he needs to grow slow to make sure his bones support him well. I tried moving him to Eukanuba, but he doesn't like it soaked. He loves it if I give it to him as a treat DRY during training. I want to move him to Taste of the Wild, I've heard a lot of good things about it. Should I make this moveray:? It is very difficult to get TOTW here, but I know a distributor in another city where my sister lives, she can bring it in for me. Any details I can get here would be much appreciated.
And for all the Raw food advocates - I am one too! BUT, in India, the meat we get is pretty cr**. We have to cook the s**t out of it for human consumption, and I don't want to risk giving it to Boone (One main reason - when we got him, he was pretty sick (stress diarrhea - the breeder sent him to us when he was too young, from another city!) It took nearly two weeks for him to get better, and I am very very careful about what I feed him now:scared2
Thank you guys for all your help!
Love
