Hello All!!

I just recently found this wonderful site and decided to join. Here's my quick/long story on how we (my kids and I) decided on our puppy. We had an APBT that we unfortunately had to put down due to cancer. After a couple of years, my kids asked, "dad, when can we get another dog?" I love the "big" breeds so I was looking into a Rottie, Am. Bulldog, Italian Mastiff, and a Bull Mastiff. After reading about these different breeds, I decided to narrow it down to a Rottie or an Italian Mastiff. After a couple of weeks, I decided to go look at an IM from a breeder. Hours before my kids and I were about to go, I get a call from the breeder and was told the male she had f/s was sold. I just thought it wasn't meant to be. A week and a half goes by and I get a call from the same breeder telling me that one of the pups was returned to her due to the puppy was going to the bathroom too much in the house and the husband wasn't too happy about it. So, we head up and thinking to myself, "if this doesn't go through, we're getting a Rottie." We were met at the front yard by the very intimidating parents of the puppy. After the breeder ensured we were "OK," my kids and I proceed to meet the puppy. As the breeder and I were talking about temperament, shots, etc., I hear my kids yelling, "dad, can we have her?" As soon as I saw her, I just couldn't say "no." My kids named her,Rose, after my mom and grandmom (RIP). I apologize for the long story....she's currently 6 months old at 68lbs. Here's a pic of Rose on her first day at "home":

Thanks all!!

I got her in Bordentown....and thanks to this site, I found and read more info on "submissive peeing." Other than that, she's a wonderful companion :).

Sorry I haven't been on much. I was having problems when logged on....I'd be logged on then hit the "back" button on my browser then I was logged off...weird. Anyway, here's our Rose at just a little over 1 y/o. Please don't mind her old crate in the background...it's just for display :).

By the way, does anyone recommend where I can buy a new leather collar for her? Preferably in the South Jersey area. Or, is my only option is ordering online? I tried every pet store but none of them had one large enough for her....thanks!!!
