Honey Mustard, a Dogue de Bordeaux and pit bull mix, has a face you'll just want to squeeze and kiss all over!

He is 9 months old and still all puppy. Honey Mustard is the kind of guy who could run for miles and still want to play ball with you afterward. When he is calm he is very sweet, gentle, and loving. If you decide to take this guy home you need to be prepared to help Honey Mustard learn some manners.

He does know how to sit and shake, but he is ready to become the well-mannered dog you've dreamed of. He just wants you to have a little patience with him. Honey Mustard is just waiting to show you that he will make a very loyal and loving best friend.

Honey Mustard is available for adoption at the Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Highway East. Many of our available animals can also be viewed online at http://www.humaneleague.com. The shelter is closed today because of the Easter holiday.

From March 23-29, the league received 62 dogs and 94 cats; 21 dogs and 31 cats were adopted. Six stray dogs were reclaimed by their owners. Eight dogs and two cats were transferred to other rescue organizations. Frankie, last week's featured canine, has been adopted. Asia, the previous week's featured feline, is still available for adoption.

New hours begin Monday

Just as a reminder, beginning Monday, April 5, the Humane League will add additional adoption hours to better accommodate adopters and visitors who work during the day, and to control costs so we can better serve our animal friends.

The new hours are: 3-8 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, and noon-5 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The league will still be closed Wednesdays. In addition, the league encourages owners who are surrendering their pets to make an appointment to ensure we obtain adequate information on the pet and to better control the flow of incoming pets throughout the day. For more information contact the shelter at info@humaneleague.com, or call 393-6551.
