Raw diet

There is a ton of information on feeding raw on this forum. Do a search for "raw diet" or variants of and it will keep you entertained for hours. If something is not clear ask questions and I'm sure someone will try to help you.

Most people that feed raw swear by it. I'm happy with the results I have seen in my dogs.

Good luck!

Yup, quite a few of us here feed raw, and there's been quite a bit of discussion on it. I'd suggest starting with a search, and read what you find, then come back and ask questions from there.

Same here- my dog's been on raw since 8 weeks, and his health is strong (and teeth are very white.) :)

True believer in raw feeding.

Thanks that site is very helpful

Before I started I thought it seemed very daunting, and I was scarred....I was afraid I would screw it all up. After I found that site, and it is practically all layed out for you, I tooke the plunge after about a week of reading it and planning.

Are your guys dog muscular or built, i had some one tell me if you feed your dog it makes them muscular

Hmm, properly done it will result in a Fit and healthy dog. The only way to build muscle is to work at it. The raw diet is a good one for giving the body what it needs to build muscle. But the diet itself does not build muscle.

The only way to build muscle is to work her muscles. No matter what you feed her, or what additives and muscle builders you feed her it won't make a difference if she's not worked.

Cane is very muscular but it is all genetics. Laziest dog with the laziest owner. Ziva on the other hand is a fat little butterball and 10 times more active. Both are fed the exact same diet.

IMO, best decision you'll make for your pup

Oh most definitely! Boone went from here DSC_0013.jpg to here DSC_0054.jpg

in less than 2 weeks! Of course, growth stint as well, but he's now averaging a gain of 4 to 5 pounds a week, with more energy to play, steadier on his feet (wow!) better coat, shinier teeth and so much more I'll run out of space before I finish this post!

My advice: DO IT! You won't regret it. And prep your own raw - in addition to alerts about kibble recalls, there are more pre-made raw mix recalls now, too. It's cheaper and easier to just get meat from the store and feed it yourself, no grinding or mixing required. Be sure to feed a variety and include organ meats (nature's multi-vitamins), too.

I have been a little lazy when it comes to finding cheap sources. I am averaging about $50.00 per week right now, and she gets about 4 lbs/day
