Yeah, that can be both good and bad, I'm seriously waiting for the Fila to be either another BSL or worse fall victim like the other working breeds.
I agree. I just cant imagine Kona in the hands of some of these folks that come on here. I honestly believe she would have been put down by now for really hurting someone. I'm all for more owners and awarness of the breed. But to many folks think their temp is a game. Oh, no bite. No growl. No eating little kids. HAHAHAHAHAHAAHA.
I'm not speaking of you Kshy. But weve had folks on here with grown "Filas" free running the beach. And I'm sure those folks are great dog owners and awesome with their dog. But a Fila just aint the right dog for that. I only hope they heed the warnings given and adjust their life style. I could have a fila with the softest temp and I would'nt trust the dog to free roam
I don't even know Kona and can't imagine either, LOL. I agree with the temp comment, these dogs are not for the weak of heart.
OP not talking with you specifically As chuck said this breed is becoming more and more popular and its seems more "filas" arrive daily. Just be sure to find a good breeder who you can trust.

Good to hear sounds like she is very invovled with the breed.
Your right CC are definately becoming a hot comidity now.
FWIW here is the rescue: http://www.filarescue.org/
I'm confused. This rescue is incorporated in Texas. I thought Dawna was in Washington state...
