Of course he does!
He is a mastiff!
The couch belongs to him, the house and everything in it belongs to him!
You and the family belong to him!
You're doomed!
He has already won, he has possessed you!

Not so! He will not prevail. He will bend to our will not because he is less than, but because he knows our cause is right. And I am more stubborn than a mere Mastiff. I 'll let you all know how that goes. Thane may not be easily convinced.

Gabriel's dad, we shall see. Max's mom, we shall see who is laughing in time. I do wonder if I should just move the couch into "his" room and plan on getting another... This dog is unbelievably stubborn. Like the tide, hard to make him do anything he doesn't want to do. Unless I have treats.

They are definitely a stubborn bread. Smart and trainable but stubborn. Good luck with the couch.

Yep, Max starts out like this...then he rolls over so his feet are towards the back...then he rolls off onto the floor. I usually save him by lowering him down easily! Stubborn and sometimes not real bright! How hard is it to just lay on the couch? My dog falls off!

Thanks for the laugh! :DGood luck with that is right..... My dear hubby had the same opinion until Angus crawled up on the couch and put his head in his lap with adoring eyes. Mastiff mind control prevails every time! Thane is too adorable to refuse!

Willa looks worried because it is evident that she got up there first and taught Bea how to couch hog!
