The Road Rage Thread!

I have been known to drive with a sense of urgency from time to time, but only in my own car. Something about the security of a bazillion airbags and the fact that my speedometer actually works. In his car, I'm pretty much afraid to drive over what I think is about 55-60mph(no speedometer, so I'm just going off of the rpms)

Get a real car Laura.

I DO! MY car is super awesome! I LOVE my car! It's my hubby's car that has issues. But those issues aren't bad enough(yet) to warrant adding a car payment or forking over thousands of dollars to get a new one. It gets him(and occasionally me) from point A to point B. He's the one that has to drive it the majority of the time and if it were up to him, he would drive it until all that was left were the wheels and front seat.

Love that my car shows me exactly how fast I'm going on the display. As of now, fastest I've had it up to was 118. Ran out of road otherwise I would pushed it further

New on of the morning....Yield sign is not a stop sign especially when there's no traffic......

If you see the police responding to the scene of the accident they don't need your help, so don't brake in the middle of the *U*()@H$ highway that goes 70mph+

I love this thread. I grew up street racing cars. I have done and seen it all. Sorry about most of it. Ten year ago I got sick of cars and started riding a bicycle to work. I am an auto mechanic. Now I hate cars and the people that drive them.
My knee blew out and now I race motorcycles. Haha everyone hates me. I stoped racing on the street and started racing for real. Now I drive a van with 480000 miles on it. I sit in the middle lane and don't give a good streaming pile about anyone that is going faster than me . They are lunatics and I don't care about people going slower than me. They are idiots. I just roll along happy to be alive.

Rubber neckers! One to add is whatever lane the police are in, be nice & get over to the complete opposite side of the road. Too many accidents of police cruisers getting hit at high speeds.

Oh no these "good citiziens" though they were be helpful by trying to attend an accident that had just happened ( no police on the scene yet) by putting their hazard lights on and stopping in the middle of the mother-fing freeway. Thankfully there were no cars behind the person. Just ARUGFHGHTUGH....DA!!!!

People are crazy. I have been involved in the accident in the middle of the road. Was turning left from the middle lane into a parking lot which involved crossing over 2 lanes & a shoulder. The people in the lanes stopped to let me go. Lady was blowing through the traffic on the shoulder going at least 30-35. She slammed into me so hard, I was only going fast enough to turn so maybe 10 & she caused $6500 worth of damage to my car. Hit me right in the corner of my front right fender/passenger headlight. Our cars got stuck together that the officer had to floor my car when in reverse to get it off her SUV. Totally her fault for driving on a shoulder but they blamed me for turning when unsafe. She completely lied about where she was going. She saw the traffic was backed up in the lanes, she wanted to turn right at the light & just broke the law in the process. After fighting with insurance companies for months they seemed the accident as we were both at fault. Only had to cover my deductible, $500. And my insurance argued with the estimate so things that should've been fixed, didn't get fixed to bring the cost down. The original estimate was about 5% away from my vehicle's threshold. I wish they would've totaled it. I hated that car.

Yea I did this and got pulled over and a ticket for driving in a passing lane. She freakin seen me get over from far right lane to center then to the left lane. I was pulling a 26 foot cargo trailer loaded down so I figured I'd be nice and get all the way over. Bitch had the nerve to pull me over and give me a ticket. I couldn't believe she was serious at first, asked her if she knew what a rock kicked from one of the five tires driving by her would do to her head or what if I had a blowout? I just couldn't believe that she was writing me a ticket for getting all the way over for her safety. She had someone pulled over and I was the only car on the road so I figured why not get all the way over. She just happened to be finishing up with one sucker and was trying trying to fill a quota or something. I laughed at her and told her I would see her in court. The judge got on her ass pretty hard about it also..stupid bitch..

She's probably still stalking you. I have been pulled over by 1 female cop in the 10 years I've been driving. I thought for sure I was getting a ticket. Nope. She let me go & thanked me for being honest.

I have a new road rage.....

Yesterday, I took Arty with me to the Petstore to pick up the order of pre-packaged raw I feed my cat. Anytime I have a dog in the car I drive a bit extra carefully. But traffic was heavy enough yesterday that I was still only a couple car lengths behind the large cargo van infront of me.

We were traveling at the speed limit (40mph) in the left lane of a 4 lane surface road.

I knew we were approaching an intersection, but the van was large enough I couldn't see around him to see traffic or the light. But he wasn't slowing, so I assumed that we had the green light and traffic was moving.

When suddenly, with no brakes or turn signals, the van suddenly ditched for the left hand turn lane. Leaving me less 4 car lengths from dead stopped traffic at the red light.

I stopped in time.

The guy behind me locked up his brakes stopping in time, as did the guy behind him. There was no crunch from behind him so I assume the rest of the line of cars also stopped in time.

I don't know what the hell the driver of the van was doing that he was so distracted that he didn't notice dead stopped traffic like that, but I was seriously wishing I had his plate number and the number of the company on the side of the van so I could have reported him.....
