  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

Good luck!!! I am very fortunate that Sadie has no issues with going to going to the vet. Especially since we have to go every 3-4 months for blood work. We are going on Saturday for a follow up on her. She has been a little off lately.

Thank you. yes, for you, problems at the vet would be truly horrible. I am so glad that you don't have that to worry about on top of everything else. I hope everything goes alright at her follow up. Let me know.

Well, if that is the case then you should be fine. Good luck and let me know how it goes.
I'm hoping it works because we he goes to the groomer, he goes with them and has no issues.

I just wanted to chime in and wish you a smooth visit tomorrow; I am sure everything will be just fine, and Ruger will get a very thorough check up, which is a positive thing.

There are few people I know that have the confidence and dog-sense that you do, so please don't second guess yourself, as stressful as these visits can be- you got this!

Looking forward to hear your repot -and relief- after it's all over with... :)

Thank you so much. I have been up all night and my nerves are shot. His appointment isn't until 8:30 this morning and the next three and a half hours are going to drive me crazy.

Breathe Kris... I would be the same way if it were Titan. Be calm and know that you are doing the right thing for Ruger.

I am trying but I am a wreck. I am just so ready to get this over with and have my boy in the truck on our way home. I have been going back and forth with myself all night. Fell asleep for about 30 minutes and had the worst nightmare. C'mon 8:30....

Actually there are three but my oldest seems to be the one that attracts all of the attention of women of every age. Thank you so much. I will update afterwards. I am sitting here watching the clock wishing it was late enough to get going.

Ruger and I are back home. He did really well. Actually too well. They gave him the injection at 9am and left the room to give him a chance to fall asleep. About 5 minutes later they came to check on him and he was still sitting alert. I had him lie down on the blanket I brought and I sat with him and he yawned a time or two but wasn't even considering sleep...Nothing changed more than 15 minutes later so they had to give him another injection. It took about 15 minutes and he finally dozed off enough for the vet and tech to come into the room but as they attempted to do the fecal exam, he woke up ready to go. They had finished some of the exam by then and left the room while I got him settled back in and he finally fell asleep pretty sound. They exam was finished, the fecal was done but when they started to draw blood, he attempted to get up and was pissed and very groggy. I held him down and talked to him and the exam and everything was finished. He never fell back to sleep so I just sat on the floor with him to get him to relax. By 10:30 he made it clear that he was not going to rest in the office so I let him stand up and although he was a little wobbly, he headed to the truck without hesitating. I opened the truck with the intent to lift his front paws in and then help him get his back end in but I popped the door open and before I could even let go of it, he jumped in just like his does twice a day everyday. He settled into the back seat and laid his big head on the console between the front seats and gave me the "turn the air conditioner on" look. No problems thus far ...When we got home he went out and urinated a couple times and got a small drink and checked the entire house over and I finally had to force him to lay down. He is/was still pretty wobbly but otherwise he is perfectly fine. Again, I appreciate everyone well wishes. This was so hard for me and I am still waiting for my nerves to calm down but all in all, in terms of Ruger...It went very well.

So good to hear. Also, that they were conservative on the sedative...better that than a full-on knock out.

Well done, you and Ruger!
