Good to hear. I hope the breeder will give you some answers!!!! A good adult or all life stages food will give her the nutrition she needs, regardless of breed.

Above, is Louie. He's 8 months and is, IMO, the paragon of what a DDB should look like, LOL! Below, is Miel. She's 3 years and has a lot of faults. When Deb mentions phenotypes that reappear in future generations, Miel would be an example.image.jpg

Miel is CKC registered and Louie is AKC and comes from solid bloodlines. Miel's litter mates were not consistent in accepted phenotypes and also didn't have a solid pedigree.
Deb, i have mad respect for you but the OP's dog's phenotypes were too extreme for it to be a DDB and thats why some of us mentioned that the dog was mixed, which is why the dog's ears stand.

Dogue thank you this is very kind of you to day :)

I was just surprised when I read it ... I hope the breeder realizes her breeding program and looks to see her pedigree on other pups to have incorrect lines ..

Hi…I don’t want to upset anyone, the OP or anyone else forthat matter, but we have been here before with this. In fact I took quite strong stance on having this dog in particular DNA tested because it strongly resembles a Pit or pit mix and they are banned in the UK. My main concern was that the OP could easily end up losing his dog one day if he was not careful and either got a sworn statement from the breeder (not that I think it can be got or would do much good in a court of law). This is not something to be taken lightly at all. The police in the UK will literally and I am not kidding, take a dog resembling a Pit or pit mix from you off the street where you stand. They don’t mess around. In the past post I even posted a You Tube link showing it done. And it is up to the owner to prove, beyond doubt that your dog is not a pit mix. And Im sorry just because they are banned inthe UK does not mean they don’t exist.

So do I still think your dog looks pure DDB now that it is afew months older? No, I am sorry I don’t. Do I still think you need to do something to be able to prove your dog has no pit in it? Yes I absolutely do.

I agree with mooshi now that we know the dog probably has some pitty in her you might want to take steps to make sure your government doesnt take your dog away...food for thought...

WTF – I understand what you are saying, you did not come here to ask what your dog looks like, but about its ears. This in turn has again brought up the subject of a possible pit mix and this has led to my concern for you and your dog. I am not saying your dog is a pit, but what I am saying is there are plenty of people on here who think its looks like it has pit in it. These are people with pit experience, pit owners, pit lovers and if they think your dog looks like a pit cross thenthere is a very real possibility that the police would too. I really hope, for your sake and the sake ofyour dog that you don’t get any attention from the police, all it would take is a simple phone call from someone you have fallen out with or a simple walk down the street. If you do get stopped one day then I would like to see you prepared to be able to defend yourself and your dog and to be able to prove beyond doubt that there is no pit blood there. If you cannot do this, then it will be a very sad ending indeed. I am not trying to tell you what to do withyour dog, but what I am trying to do is to make you think of the future of your animal. You may very well never have a problem, but then again you might and would you not rather be prepared? Please Google the story of Lennox in Northern Ireland, he wasn’t a pit, he had no pit in him, but because he looked, ONLY LOOKED, like a pit he was seized and he was killed. There was a nationwide fight for this dog’s life and it did no good, why? Because his owners could not prove he was not a pit. He had his body measurements taken and because he fell within the guideline sof what is considered to be a pit bull that was the end of his life. It is scary, unfair and completely wrong butit does happen! If it were me I would do everything in my power to safeguard my dog, purely because of how he or she looks and the unjust laws that are called BSL.

This is the end of my rant if that’s what you want to call it, but I promise this concern comes from the heart of one dog owner toa nother. I love my dogs more than anything and would do anything for them, I am sure you would do the same so please consider my words.

OK - well I hope your vet will be happy to step up and confirm that your dog is pure DDB and nothing else if the time ever comes because even Pit mix's get seized and killed.
