I asked the vet if one level cup (given to me by the vet from some dog-food company) 3 times a day, when we eat, is enough for Coal, the black lab. She said, "That is plenty." I asked if I should be feeding Mr. Cheevers the mastiff more than I am now (2 heaping cups per meal 3 times a day when we eat) and she said, "Absolutely not. His ribs should show when he stands, and he is a good looking, fit, muscular dog. Perhaps this applies to your "best friends". Your dogs look fit and trim, the best way to look for a doggie !! I think Chev stuck his face in the inkwell at elementary school. too. View attachment 60956
View attachment 60957 Thanks, Tyler. Chev is about 145 lbs right now. He had his yearly checkup and so on a week ago. Yes, he is muscular and not "frumpy dumpy". He has his AKC papers and is a genuine mastiff, but I don't know if he is the so-termed "American mastiff" or not. He does seem a little different than so many, and he is not slinging drool around. He has a wet mouth at times like after drinking water, but he is pretty dry. Have a great day !!View attachment 60957

Wow, April. Buster and Chev could be twins. Chev is 3 years old, as of January. He is AKC registered, and not an "opps" as far as I know. Thanks for your pic of Buster, a very handsome mastiff.
Now that looks like a single Rhododendron and it does look like the rest will bloom into a cluster. Why are flower bushes so confusingly similar??
Kahlua knows she's adorable.
Tell me, April....what was Buster's age when he passed away?? Also, for your comfort, our dogs will be in heaven according to those who know, the experts. Our heavenly Father will restore all that we loved. Jesus died to redeem "all of nature" according to scripture. I believe with all my heart that Buster and Chev will be chasing around, playing in heaven, a place not unlike this earth, but sooooo much better.....young, healthy, beautiful, forever and ever...........
