As I'm reading this thread.... I start to get a little bit nervous. I have never had an issue before training a puppy. My Chi was trained by the time he reached 3 months by way of puppy training pads. Then by way of on demand at 5 months. By 6 months, he was letting us know when he had to go and refused to go in house. We adopted a boxer/beagle mix a couple of months ago, and it seemed like he was a perfect puppy. No mess ever in the house, no mess ever in his crate... Of course, they both have had their accidents, but only when they have had tummy problems (caused by food allergies). Am I in for a different situation with a mastie? (my nickname for the breed).

Stone is highly individualistic lol. I wouldn't worry to much yet!

TripleD no need to be nervous as Ruth said Stone is in a league of his own. If you've had no issues thus far I wouldn't worry about anything.:)

Thanks Dpenning and Raechiemay. There is one vet who I do really like that wasn't too generic with me. I was impressed with their services and the actual CARE when I took my cat, more than likely I will take Stone there as well.

Stone is truly one of a kind. How is that while still wearing the diaper he uncovers his little winkie......So this last night and this morning I'm back to mopping.

Usually mastiffs are highly trainable with consistency. My girl for the most part was trained by 6 months. A lot of people might say they're trained by 3 months, just depends on how much time you devote to the training. Make a schedule for the pup. I think Stone is just an exception to the rule. Lol ;)

And DD I swear that pic is the only one I have seen of Stone!! Where can I find more? :)

Its about the only updated picture I've posted of him, since his last spurt. I don't take many but I do have a couple saved.
