What has your Mastiff eaten?

Phoebe my dear Cane Corso ate an entire beer can:eek: it came out the other end and she didn't seem any worse for the wear!

It wasn't my mastiff, but my St. Bernard mix, she ate one of my BRAND NEW shoes. Sole and all. She had a thing for LEFT shoes, I bought another pair and she ate the left shoe AGAIN! I wish she would have been thoughtful and ate the right, so that I could have had at least ONE pair of shoes out of the 2 I bought. And she ate them Quick! I went to take a shower, and she snuck in and ate it before I got out.

Again, not our mastiff, but when we had a lab/rottie cross pup years ago and a daughter who played with Barbies, I can't tell you the number of barbie clothes, shoes, purses, etc... I found when they came out the other end.

Well he did not completely eat it but he totally detroyed a huge recliner and ate the wooden parts! It happened very quickly because I was only gone 2 hours and came home to recliner pieces and newly formed kindling, all over the fmaily room!!!

Not my mastiff, but when we looked after my aunt's lab when she went on holiday, he proceded to eat a bar of soap whilst I washed him. Clean inside and out!

Not my mastiff but our Staffie cross was the champion eater...although not as good as Tibleti's dog (your hair!). He chewed up my husband's driver's license. Actually took it out of his wallet, ignored everything else that he had in his wallet and chewed everything but his picture. I guess he missed him. He ate shoes and then he ate the bottom half of a bay window. Also stripped wallpaper off the wall and ate most of it. The first dinner party I had ever had, everyone left the table while there was still all the food on it. I went into the living room to ask about coffee so I could make it while cleaning up the meal when I heard this scrambling. I came into the dining room just in time to see him leaping from the table like Superman, dishes raining down around him, exploding on the floor like missles. The entire leftovers (which was a lot of food)...huge roast, two types of vegetables, salad, buns, mashed potatoes and even the butter was hovered in about 1 minute. I was so upset I told my husband it was either me or his dog. Thankfully Zodian was such a wonderful dog that I caved and he was with us for another 12 years.) I still miss that dog. :)

Willie (our em) is also a master at "trades." I have a super nice Harley Davidson leather wallet. Well, I usually leave my purse in the floor on my side the bed, fully zipped. I get out of the shower one night and go into the bedroom to find my purse open. I start putting stuff back in it and realize my wallet is missing. I find my wallet with Willie on his dog bed. Of course, I took it away, only to realize that the cash and photo insert is missing (which is what I keep my license, debit card, etc in). I go out to fuss at my husband (since Willie is his dog) Well, Trey gets ready to get up to help me look for my missing insert only to step on the insert. Willie took all of it and laid the entire thing at Trey's feet, to include my cash. We put everything back in my purse and realize that Willie has left his red fish toy in my purse for trade. He still tries to trade the red fish for my wallet every so often. At least now I can laugh about it.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ I'm self employed and came home from the bank after cashing some checks. Nine, 100 dollar bills was in one of those white bank envelopes that stupid me left it on the coffee table before leaving again to go and deposit it. Well, of course it was gone when I went to get it. I was happy to retrieve $600 and 1/2 the white envelope from the water bowl, but the rest was expensive fertilizer. Gotta luv em!

So at 6 months Molli's tally is:
4 bras
about 4 dozen socks ( i have a terrible habit of leaving mine where i take them off)
1 coffee table leg
2 xbox controllers
2 x box headsets
1 heater cord
2 phone chargers
2 flip flops
1 concrete flag stone---dont ask
holes in 4 different blankets
1 doggie bed
2 leashes
a countless number of toys

My Cane Corso,
She ate and escaped 5 different Crates, I finally just built one and it is still in action for now.
3 Wii controllers
1 PS3 controller
3 $60 dog beds
4 toilet paper rolls
Roughly $200 in CD's and PS3 games
$400 of college text books
School notebooks
Cheese Burger off the highest shelf in my house
Night stand
Dresser
Door Jam to the bedroom
Hole in the drywall 12x5 inches
I could keep going haha, I still love her to death. All of that can be fixed or replace. She never could be, the most amazing dog I have ever had.

Some of you guys are scaring me! I've had two Newfie's and the wors they did was chew the arm off an old sofa I had on the patio waiting for bulk trash pickup. Chewing through kennels?!? I'm now starting to pray my girl will be suitably entertained with her pack mates that she won't eat my house!

**Knocks on wood** No obstructions so far. Everything has come out that went in for our em. Of course, we also keep a supply of peppermints in the house, which seem to calm any upset stomach from eating the not so good things. Yay for peppermints!

No obstructions here either, we tend to catch her mid snack...although shed did manage to swallow the buttons on the xbox controller. I think she thought they were m&m's

I suppose in the scheme of things we have been lucky, but obstruction has not been the issue. Now, if you were to ask me about the diarrhea afterwards, even with the peppermints (which normally calm his stomach all the way), I could tell you some horror stories. Like Farakin, we tend to catch mid snack (wall NOT included).

Our Boxer ate a 4000$ baby soother... well 4000$ after the obstruction surgery :(
Just happy that he lived through it.
I am now SSSOOOOOO careful about what my dogs chew. They are NEVER left unattended in the house, always in the same room as us. Not that they want to be any place else :), but if we can't watch them they are crated.

I got lucky! My dog doesn't chew anything but raw hyde...and only a certain brand at that. Makes me afraid of my next dog. I'm not gonna like chewing on furniture and such!...He might be sleeping outside! LOL.
