i wish I could hunt off my back porch.

What I read about them they are mixed with wolves. 15-25%. They are much larger then the ones on the west side of the country.

Yeah a big one for us is 35#. We have very large wolves here much bigger than your coyotes. But your yotes look more wolf to me.

They do. I can't argue with that. And thats before you start discussing the possible mixing of dog in there. A dairy farmer a couple hours from me has JUST took down the mamma 'yote they believe to be the mother of their current crop of giant blond coyotes running the area. On close inspection they're pretty sure she's got some dog fairly recently in her background.

Oh, and said coyotes are why I do NOT understand why the cat from across the street is still alive. I have on SEVERAL occasions now had a coyote on the camera, and less than 12hrs later had a shot of the cat, only a few feet from where the coyote was.......

Lol, I forget how wolflike they look if you're not used to them! Promise no wolves here. Now bear.....we periodically get reports of bear not that far away, but no wolves. Though we've had a few big cats move through on occasion.....

I'm actually surprised you don't have wolves. There are tons of them across the border from you guys and up in Maine.

Love the pictures you get on your trail cam. I need one but I would probably just get the neighbors dog in mine. We do see the occasional deer though. Keep the pictures coming as I love to look at them.

Keep an eye out for sales. Once you buy your new house you'll probly want one!

I get lots of pictures of our dogs, and hubby, as they make the morning rounds of the property edges, and several of that fricking cat. Had a nice shot of squirrel butt this time lol. Haven't yet caught the wild turkeys on camera, and I KNOW they're back there.....

I put a few on on a remote property we have they keep getting stolen.

Have you looked at the security mounts for them? I've not tried them, its not a problem I have, but they caught my eye.

Put the camera's back out the day after posting the last pictures, then it snowed the weekend before Christmas, and then it snowed again after Christmas, and thats not counting the lake effect snow we were getting, so the cameras stayed out there till today when it was finally possible to get to them without having to wade through knee deep snow. One camera got buried, based on the tracks in front of it, it SHOULD have gotten pictures of quite a bit, but the flash was buried so the pictres are a white spot in the snow and thats it. The other camera however.....it wasn't quite aimed as well as I'd thought, but what I got:

I gotta tell you that was a good sized buck, the tracks are HUGE. On the other hand thanks to the tracks in the snow we now know where they're coming through, including several sets of tracks across from our north side neighbor's yard. The snow under the fruit trees was torn all the heck too, pretty obvious what they were coming for.
