Well, Mayzee is laying in her favorite spot under the couch (for now, I give it two more weeks), with a full tummy!
I gave her some bone-in chicken and ground chicken for breakfast, a snack of ground chicken around lunch, she just ate another piece of bone-in chicken, and I'll give her a small fish fillet snack after we eat dinner.
I used to have to convince her to eat her kibble. She would eat a bite, wander off, eat a bite.... Wasn't really that interested. With the raw meat, so sees me with it, smells it in the air, and is already sitting nicely waiting for me to give it to her. Before feeding her just now, I took and dragged the chicken about four feet in the grass, to try and engage her nose. She found the scent trail, but followed it backwards. Oh well, she tried. I did hide the meat in a grassy hole, so she couldn't see it, but when I put her next to the hole, she finally realized that's where it was after all. She wound up sitting in the hole, looking like a prairie dog, eating her meat. It was sooo cute, but I didn't have my phone with me to take a picture.
I can't wait until her body adjusts and I can start adding variety!
On a side note, does scaled tripe count as raw?
