wearing a coat

Hi I have a four yr old Cane Corso. Does she need a coat when we walk when the temperature is below freezing?
What are your views on a harness?

Depends on how sensitive she is to the cold. Some don't mind and some do.

Harnesses are meant for pulling so as a general rule dogs that tend to wear them tend to pull more

i also agree it depends on the dog with cold weather but with harness most dogs tend to pull unless very well trained not to

So far, Denna hasn't needed a coat - but we don't get THAT cold here in Seattle very often. If we went up in the mountains for some snowshoeing, I'd probalby put a jacket on her (more for moisture protection than cold).

I plan in fitting Denna for a harness and training for weight pulling... for walks, we just use a flat collar or slip collar.
She also has a harness for carrying a backpack.
