Here is something I have learned VERY QUICKLY with Murphy. Being he is an EM, and he is a "Gentle Giant" he is a BEAST. A power house, a HUGE stubborn K-9 with a MASSIVE, STRONG mouth. I don't care what anyone says gentle or not he is still strong stubborn and powerful. And he is very well trained with an amazing listening ability. And he is purebreed from a rep't breeder.

I am now going to add an "Brazilian Mastiff" into the "English Mastiff" and hope and pray my backyard training, and lack of knowledge will make me a "Gentle Giant" WTF!

This is what the ad should say......

I really hope that injury doesn't come out of the MONSTER I have created in my backyard. I just want to make money and hope someone will help me. I have breed my baby boy. He is a strong stubborn english mastiff with an old Fila that has changed owners a few times. Please research Filas to understand the lifestyle change that will have to be meet. I hope you have a lot of money to pay for these guys. Food is not cheap as their stomachs are picky. Vet bills are double and training isn't cheap but is absolutely necessary. I don't know if socializing them is a good idea because filas don't like to be social, but English Mastiffs do, so your guess is as good as mine. I cant guarantee anything but a dog that is Mastiff.

Babyjoe, I will tell you that I watched this thing on tv once about the bite force of dogs. They listed the top 10 dogs with the heaviest bite force. They rated the force in lbs. I believe the mastiff ranked #1 with the heaviest force (not sure which one I can't remember) & had a bite force of over 500 lbs. So I can't imagine a fila coming after me with a bite force of that magnitude. They're beautiful dogs no less but definitely not a dog I would willingly hand over to an amateur.

On National Geographic? I remember seeing it as well, I believe they use a Boerboel for that test.

OMG..... As I see it, it is OUR business because WE Mastiff owners are the ones that have to pick up the pieces. Possible end up adopting one of the dogs and defend OUR breed. Three litters REALLY!

How funny it was to mention bite force. My daughter just asked me about that and we found it was 550, but we also found one at 600
