Put my wife's lower together last night, found a few tricks that made it a lot easier so it only took about half an hour.
Waiting on the upper to show up then we test fire and send it in to be Cerecoated, going with NRA blue for upper, lower, barrel and buffer tube everything else will be black.

Cool! Did you also piece together the upper or get a pre made?

30 mins that's not bad. Border line pro lol. Gonna be a while before I can build mine out. I have to many projects going on at once.

No I'm going with a complete upper that way there is a warrantee and if it goes kaboom I have someone to blame other than myself lol.

I have another lower I'm going to build for my oldest son as a Christmas present.
He will be joining us between Christmas and New Years at the Arizona house, I will need to get an airline approved shipping case so he can take it home to Virginia.

I haven't had the pleasure. The lower barrel in the frame, helps with muzzle flip yes? Or that's the idea anyways. I wanted to rent one when I was qualifying for cc revolver but someone got it before I could. Had to settle for a beat up old j-frame.

Yes those are really ugly lol
I have heard they have a heavy trigger pull, how is yours?

Lack of muzzle flip is the beauty of the design (not the "looks" LOL) yup - very little anyway with .357M and none with .38S. All the energy is straight back into your plam and arm. DA trigger pull is heavy, but very nice in SA IMO.

Vortex Spark II it's a 2 MOA dot not high end but certainly not el cheapo if you know what I mean.
Has some good features for the money and can't beat the lifetime no limit warranty.

Good stuff, thought it was a Vortex but wasn't sure of the model. I just picked up a Vortex Spitfire 3X slightly used at decent price; have a new AR on the way too.

Phew---lots of interesting gun-gab going on here. To stick in my 2 cents, I had a S&W 1911 .45 acp, but I had a few issues with it, probably my lack of reloading skills, so I sold it along with a few Wilson Combat mags, and I bought a Glock Model 21 Slim Frame, which eats about anything I feed it. I tend to shoot a little high with it, probably due to the angle of the stock/handle/grip...whatever one calls what a shooter hangs on to. I also have a Ruger slab side target .22 with a red dot, and my personal concealed carry (with permit, not hard to get in PA), a S&W Chief's Special 5 shooter loaded with Rem Golden Saber .38 Specials. I like the sounds of that .44 special in your carry gun, DDSK. Sorry about such Pelosi regs you have to live with. In the rifle depart, I really like my CZ .223 which will break eggs for me every shot...at 200 yards. My Savage Model 12 comes real close...both rifles have target laminated stocks with 30+ power glass...I mostly use Burris. Oh boy, you all got me started. Again, I have a lot of respect for the .44 special loaded with Glaser Safety Slugs...mercy, don't shoot at me. Biblically...and you can expect this from me....God favors self-defense but is always against revenge. Have a great day, guys. Keep yer powder dry!

Kind of surprising but many clergy members I have spoken with are pro gun, of course for responsible people.
I have mixed emotions about many gun control laws, I have no issue with background checks some people should never be allowed to own guns. I think that limiting the type of weapon or the capacity of its magazine is stupid, also I'm all for a waiting period for a persons 1st gun but after that it doesn't make any sense. Really we already have a law that says you can't just go out and shoot someone without just cause, do we need anything else?
