How Did You Choose That Name?

My little girl is destined to be a Queen, so her first name is Regina. My mother introduced me to dogs, so her middle name is the same as my mother's, Josephina. She also likes to dance and is very showy, thus her full name is Regina Josephina Ballerina.

Rogue :When we adopted our baby Rogue she was originally called Dolly, we didn't think that name suited her. We tried out loads of different names but Rogue completely fitted her and she lives up to her name :).

Squirmy: We rescued Squirmy when she was two days old and when we were hand feeding her she always squirmed and wriggled in our hands so she kinda named herself!

Mushy: When we adopted Mushy he was called Mushroom, didn't really like that name so we shortened it to Mushy as we didn't want to change it too much!

Taz our min pin's name came from when we got him he used to chase his "stub" of a tail in circles and it reminded us of the old cartoons with the Tasmanian devil.

Thor our teacup chihuahua's name came from my son who is fascinated with the avenger and other super hero movies.

Fawn our ddb name came from just randomly choosing a type of animal. All of our dogs had an animal name. (Our two saint Bernard's that we had to put down last year also had animal names; moose and bear)

Sir hulk smashes came from as we watch fawn smash through items that she wanted to go through and also my sons fascination with super heros lol

Cane corso is an Italian breed so we named him Don Vito Corleone respectable name smart and manly but we just call him Corleone

EXACTLY! I was wondering if I would find another Vito! :)
When we decided on a CC, we knew we wanted an Italian name. It also had to be short and snappy, and easy for the kids to say.
My husband suggested Luigi which was quickly tossed out and we both fell in love with the name Vito Corleone. My name is already Dawn (like Don) so we left that out, although he is named after the Godfather. His full registered name is Vito Corleone dei Opportunity which I think sounds pretty darn nice, although around the house he goes by Vito.

I really liked reading everyone's name choices! Bunch of creative peeps over here!

Heathen - he's actually named after his grandfather, but the name doesn't really fit him all that well and I rarely call him that. Heathen is a one of his nicknames and one I call him a lot. Most of the time I call him Egan, which is his first middle name (he has a lot of middle names), or Bubb

-----------------------------------------------------------
Bentley- got his name because he was the first dog I ever bought for myself (and my first DDB) and I had never paid that much for anything in my life (was still in college). I considered him to the dog version of a Rolls Royce, so I chose to name him Bentley. He was my heart dog. I still miss him so much.

Fahren - was named by my mom. She liked the name and I thought it wasn't bad. Most of the time we called her Fay, or Fay Fay.

Tempyst - got her name because when her breeder first sent me pictures of her she had this mischievous look in her eyes and I just thought she was a fire cracker. I couldn't find anything pretty that was equivalent to "firecracker" so I found Tempesta di Fuoco, which means fire storm in Italian. So that became part of her registered name, with Tempyst as her call name. I sometimes called her Tempesta, and often Cha Cha (her nickname).

Ooops forgot I'd already posted in this thread...oh well :)

Well, this was our breeders first brindled litter of her own lines, combined with the fact that the wife loves beer, and I'm Irish heritage. dal Primos' Premier Black & Tan, called Guinness. :)
