I am giving you all an update for Tammy, she has asked that I pass along this info to all of you..........

Tammy has a tumor the size of a lemon near her heart and another smaller one at the bottom of the lung. She is going into for a biopsy tomorrow morning and will know what type of cancer it is next week, then they will know how to treat it.

so sorry I missed this. I pray that you are doing ok, the waiting is the worst.

I am 2 1/2 yrs in remission after fighting the worst fight of my life. I had
acinic cell carcinoma of the parotid gland and my salivary gland(left side) and facial
nerve were wrapped in the tumor. I lost the salivary gland and some of the facial nerve.
I did 35 sessions of radiation and 14 months of chemo.
mine cancer is a slow moving, non aggressive, but due to me just having a baby 3 months
before diagnosis mine was highly aggressive and quick moving. so all treatment and procedures
were rapid and aggressive.

I can tell you that the support of friends and family, along with a positive fighting attitude does wonders!!!

this bumper sticker is on my Jeep and all who know me were not surprised I bought it and wear it proud

if it is cancer, I would like to invite you to our club! the Fight like a girl club!! http://www.fightlikeagirlclub.com/ a wonderful place to get amazing support and to just come vent and bitch!

you have received some awesome information on here and it all helps! a piece of advice I received from my oncologist that meant a lot, STAY OFF the internet!!! I swear I was up days scouring for information about my type of cancer and it made my mental stress and anguish worse. he did advise to join support groups and even start a blog to help me vent. I did not want to burden my family and friends with all of my anxieties. we had all just lost my mom the year before to Pancreatic cancer, so I did want to add to it. which of course I now know was the worst thing I could have done. they all were so angry that I did not rely on them to help lessen the burden of my fears and concerns.

please except ALL of the help others offer!!! I learned the hard way.

my heart and prayers are with you and I am here for a shoulder!

Tammy

Oh, Dear. I'm stunned. I just pm'd her a link regarding all the cutting edge treatments. I was really hoping that she wasn't going to need any of it.

I will continue to pray and hope and research for possible treatments. Let her know she had our deep affection.

Keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. Sent you a pm about my husband's grandfathers fight with lung cancer at 80 years old (he survived!), sorry I missed this till now, I feel awful I haven't been reading all the fourms as much lately due to life. As file4me said, you got this. No one runs Tammy's life but Tammy...Mr cancer should of known that when she taught Mooshi's to be off leash and recall against all odds. <3

Tammy, I'm thinking about you girl! Sending up lots of prayers for you hun. :( I didn't not want to see that kind of update but you're such a strong woman. Give it the ol' Moo attitude & you'll get through it. Stay strong & let me know if there is anything I can do. Even if you need someone to vent to.

I f-ing hate cancer. I don't know you, but from reading your posts I can tell that you're not one to take things lying down. You're a fighter. You can beat this and flip stupid C the bird. You've got a huge arsenal of positive thoughts and vibes coming your way from all these mastiff lovers, and that's some powerful mojo. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and sending much strength.

I have been thinking of you all day and will continue to wish you good health! Remember that medical technology is growing daily. I have a dear friend now going through chemo for lung metastasis from rectal cancer and he is doing well! Eats a vegan diet, has consistant appointments with acupuncture and massage for the effects of the chemo. Get all the info you can, surround yourself with only positive friends and family, exercise, eat well, hunker down and fight like hell!!
