Well I flat out called that black one a Pittbull on facebook and the owner has yet to defend it. I also found out from what I think is a reliable source that this guy does cross his dogs and the sire of this one was a petshop dog her registered under his kennels name as a Boerboel. You see the crap we have to watch out for. This stuff just amazes me.

That black dog is not pure american bulldog IMO, I also dont think he's pure pit, I think you guys are both close and I would say its an American Bulldog/Pitbull cross. I just see to much of both breeds there to think he's a pure bread of either one.

It's hard to tell without knowing the size of the dog - but to me that looks quite a lot lke a staffordshire bull terrier - albeit with a large head.
The staffs are chunky little fellas - but quite a small dog overall - here's a pic - what do you think?

Looks just like my first staff Nakita except she was a red with green eyes. She might have been 50 lbs but killed to coyotes like it was a Sunday walk after dinner. (not at the same time)

Seriously powerful dogs for there size. First time I came home and saw all the blood I though something killed her, then she came out from under the deck all covered in blood but happy wagging her tail. I found the remains of the coyote beside the deck. It had been torn to peaces. I got her inside and washed her down and could not find a single bite on her. I also had a Doberman at the time that was chained on a run not far from her chain run and he had no signs of blood or stress. But the next time she killed one we were on a hike and it came out of nowhere and attacked her. Apparently he was thinking easy food snatch up. She just bit it's leg and broke it like a twig when it let her go she went right to the throat and pretty much just tore it out the coyote was dead in just a few seconds. I took her to the vet and she needed a couple stitches on her hind end but that was all. Also got her booster shots while we were there. Sadly I lost her to a choker chain accident.

So back on topic, does anyone else have other boerboel pictures and other facts about them? I am very interested about this breed and would like more information. I am not thinking about getting another dog for at least a few years or until my EM passes, but I would like to be prepared. I really like the look of the dogs in the pictures Mike put up.

Brad I have seen a few Tiger Brindle SABs recently they might be pushing to get them more common. Something I find funny though is Jade is stripped all over. You can only see it in certain light or when she is wet except on the insides of her legs you can see it pretty well.
